8 Braided Hairstyles | How to
Hey ladies,
So we all have those days when we want to do something different with our hair and mix up our usual go to hairstyles!
These are the times I incorporate some sort of a braid into my hair. It's the best way to add a simple twist and a bit of edge to any hairstyle. So I have done 8 braided hairstyles that are quite simple and super cute for a night out, school or a chilled casual day.
What you will need:
- Fish Tail Comb
- Thin/small hair ties
- Hair clip
- Bobbi Pins
There you have it ladies, these styles will work with most hair types. Always make sure you have applied some moisturiser to your hair before starting (hair serum, hair oil etc) and you can perfect those edges after deciding on which style you're doing.
Hope this helps and let me know if your give them a try :).
Until next time, stay fabulous ladies.

Hairstyle 1:
So the first thing you will need to do is section off your hair, section off the front quarter of your hair (go around from ear to ear with the fish tail comb).
The next thing you are going to do is make a sharp side parting on your desired side and then braid your hair (one to the right and one to the left).
You can wear this hairstyle in a few different ways depending on where you secure the braids.
Hairstyle 2:
The 2nd hairstyle follows up from the above braid style. Put your hair into a high ponytail and pin the braids around your hair tie.
Hairstyle 3:
I saw a recent photo of Kate Bosworth with a hair do like this one, so I was inspired to do one similar.
So your are going to section off a small piece of hair from your front/middle section (a small rectangle shape). Tie the rest of your hair back and braid the little section towards your face.
Once you get to the beginning of your forehead, split the braid in half and pin one section to the side. Begin to plait/braid the piece left and then do the other side (you should have 2 plaits now).
You can tie half you hair up with the braids or pin them under your hair (completely up to you).
Hairstyle 4:
I think this is called the 'Halo' hairstyle and works best with medium to long hair as you have to wrap your own hair around like a hair band.
So you will just need to pick 2 pieces of hair from behind you ear (look for the longer pieces) and then plait/braid those pieces. You are now going to cross the braid over your hair like an Alice hair band and secure them with bobby pins at the back.
Hairstyle 5:
For this next hairstyle you are going to section off the side corner of your hair and tie the rest up. Using your fish tail comb you are going to split this section into 2 pieces and braid each piece (when you section the pieces instead of doing a straight line make sure you do a curved/angled line). Tie the ends with a small/clear hair tie and style.
Hairstyle 6:
This hairstyle follows up from the one above. So what you are going to do is replicate the same pattern of braids on the other side of your hair (both sides will now be braided).
Once this is done go ahead and quiff the middle part of your hair and secure the quiff with bobby pins at the back of your head. After this take the braids, cross them over at the back of your hair and secure with bobby pins.
Hairstyle 7:
Keeping on with the same braids done above (Hairstyle 6), your just going to throw you hair into a bun.
Hairstyle 8:
For the final hairstyle you are going to go ahead and section off the front quarter of your hair again (from ear to ear).
Once this is done go ahead and braid/plait your hair from one side to the next, secure the end of the braid with a hair tie. Secure the braid under your hair with bobby pins.
There you have it ladies, these styles will work with most hair types. Always make sure you have applied some moisturiser to your hair before starting (hair serum, hair oil etc) and you can perfect those edges after deciding on which style you're doing.
Hope this helps and let me know if your give them a try :).
